Please join me the evening of Tuesday, April 28 as I launch a musician-patron matching service.  I have arranged for the Duke violin faculty to perform on a violin made in 1702 by Antonio Stradivarius and a violin made in 1710 by Giuseppe Guarneri filius Andrea.  This classy event  offers one more chance to socialize with students, faculty, and staff before we part ways.

The performance will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at the Duke Gardens Building. I realize this is very short notice, but I had to be absolutely sure that the Stradivarius could be brought down from Boston on that day.  It's not easy to line up a Stradivarius; the price tag of this violin is well  over $3 million.  The Strad is in excellent condition, with previous owners  including a French count and a former concertmaster (lead violinist) of the New York Philharmonic.

This wont be a stuffy classical concert - instead the concert will begin at 8:00 pm with viewing of the violins and a wine, cheese, and dessert
reception.  The performers will call out numbers from the stage and take questions.  Afterwards there will be a party with DJ playing decidedly non-classical music.

Visit mediciviolins.com for tickets and a short video on violin patronage. The student price is $15, which covers both the concert and the party.
Party only tickets will be available later this week for $12.  Partners of students can also purchase the student tickets.
