From Mozilla:

Introducing our newest open source marketing project—a contest that gives you a chance to make your mark on Mozilla. We're looking for innovative ways to make sure people who download Firefox become regular users.

Interested? Start by sending us a summary of your ideas and an overview of how you and your team will carry them out. If your initial strategy makes the cut, we'll ask for a complete plan detailing your solution.

If your plan is selected as the winner, you'll have the opportunity to manage a marketing campaign for one of the top brands in the technology world. We'll give you the resources to enact your solution, plus $3,000 for the winning proposal.

Business IT Case competition

The first of its kind Business IT Case Competition, APEX is set to make
its mark globally. Differentiated from other case challenges by
featuring live cases from both public and private sectors, the case will
encompass reengineering business processes and using IT strategically to
heighten company leverage and maximise profits.

APEX will be held in Singapore, where the vibrant economy and lively
people make the city most apt for the challenge. The event is proudly
organised by Singapore Management University (SMU), in partnership with
the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore.

I would like to invite your esteemed University's students to take part
in this inaugural international business IT case competition. I assure
you that the international exposure gained will be well worth the while,
and is good branding for Duke University.

With Southeast Asia's increasing importance in the global economy,
Singapore is definitely a place for networking with industry giants, a
place to transform business through IT, a place to experience. Right in
the heart of the bustling city state, the world's premier F1 night race
is all set to run. Looking forward, Singapore has also earned the honour
of hosting the 2010 Youth Olympic Games. And one cannot miss out on the
delicious international cuisines served all around the country, making
Singapore a food heaven you must visit!

I look forward to hearing from you. Should you have any queries, please
do not hesitate to contact me at xy.lee.2007@business.smu.edu.sg.

A Simple, Online Tool for Mapping Informal Networks

Keyhubs.com was started by two Duke MBA alums to allow managers and business leaders to quickly and easily map human relationships in the workplace using web-based surveys.
Here is an example where the informal Keyhub chart reveals the importance of a manager relatively low in the formal hierarchy. He is very central to the communication and trust networks (via four incoming connections, including one from the CEO), thus the larger node size. This manager is a Keyhub in the company—something the formal org chart does not expose.
