JOB TITLE: Entrepreneurship Intern
TERMS: Part-Time Flexible Hours, approximately 10 hours per week
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Support the continued growth of an exciting national leadership development company and its founders, while also supporting the publicity efforts surrounding their new book, Life Entrepreneurs: Ordinary People Creating Extraordinary Lives (Jossey-Bass, 2008, www.lifeentrepreneurs.com).Candidate will be a self-starter who is dynamic, entrepreneurial, well organized, results-oriented, professional, and dedicated.
Market and competitive research in the leadership development space
Research and idea generation to support the authors’ columns and blogs: Harvard Business Online, Inc.com, Life Entrepreneurs, Washington Times
Updating the company and book web site on a weekly basis
Supporting business development and sales & marketing activities, including marketing materials, client scheduling and follow-up, database management (via HighRise online), marketing strategy/messaging support, etc.
Supporting product development efforts
Identifying potential partner organizations and new business possibilities and leads
Identifying and soliciting appropriate “thought leader” support (e.g., authors of related books)
Scouring Google alerts for related initiatives
Conducting online research, as needed
Keeping authors regularly informed on progress
QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Excellent writing and communications skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
Advanced computer knowledge and skills.
Proven track record of seeing projects through to completion with little or no supervision.
