Hi there, I am an intern at Business Insider and wanted to reach out to make sure your members knew about this year's Business Insider Start Up Conference.  It's a pitch event for early stage companies for the chance to win $100,000 in prizes, including a $25,000 cash investment from General Catalyst Partners.

We have partnered with a number of venture capital firms, and NYU. Here's a link to more info: http://www.businessinsider.com/startup2010  .

If you could include this in your email list or any blog posts for your student/member entrepreneurs to see, that would be greatly appreciated.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions.  Hope to see some of your members on the stage!

Best,
Ehab Dahdouli

Job Opportunity with fast-moving startup

Hi Howie,

I was recently approached by a serial entrepreneur who successfully started and sold the company Mercury MD for $50 million, to find an MBA student for a part-time Business Development/Marketing role. The student will preferably have healthcare and/or IT experience, and will initially take ownership of and help write the business plan for the company, which expects to raise funds this summer leading to a full-time Business Development/Marketing role for that student. Either a 1st year willing to work part-time next year or a 2nd year looking for a permanent job are acceptable candidates and work will start by mid-April on a part-time basis. The company is focused on a data repository and communication device solution for nurses to remove their administrative burdens and allow them to focus on clinical care. This is a great opportunity to work with a team that is seasoned and fast-moving, and learn the business side of the hospital markets.

Could you kindly post this on your startup matchmaker blog and forward amongst students on appropriate email lists? Interested candidates can send me their resume & a brief cover letter to gautham.pandiyan@gmail.com.

Thanks much!
Gautham
